Israeli Air Force Launches “Black Flag” Operation Targeting Hodeidah, Yemen

🇮🇱🇾🇪 Overnight, the Israeli Air Force launched Operation Black Flag, conducting multiple airstrikes on Yemen’s Red Sea port city of Hodeidah. According to Israeli military radio, the strikes targeted critical infrastructure including the Ras al-Khatib power station, ports at Hodeidah, Salif, and Ras Issa, and the Galaxy Leader ship—which was seized by the Houthis in 2023 and allegedly repurposed for terrorist operations.

Eyewitnesses confirmed loud explosions across the Hodeidah port, with Houthi-affiliated media describing the attack as a “Zionist aggression” involving at least 20 heavy missiles.

The Israeli Defense Minister stated, “Whoever raises a hand against Israel will have it cut off. The law of Yemen is the same as the law of Tehran.” He emphasized that the strikes were retaliatory, aimed at deterring Houthi military activity and Iranian influence in the region.

Meanwhile, Yemen’s Houthi forces claim their air defenses are actively engaging Israeli jets, framing the strikes as part of a broader regional war.

This marks the first open Israeli aerial assault on Hodeidah, escalating tensions across the Red Sea and signaling a dangerous new front in the Israel–Iran–Houthi conflict axis.
