Satellite images from the villages of Mais al-Jabal and Aita al-Shaab show extensive damage in the area. The National News Agency reported Tuesday that over 37 towns have been surveyed, with homes destroyed and more than 40,000 housing units completely demolished within a 3-kilometer zone extending from Naqoura to the outskirts of Khiam.
