Netanyahu: Hezbollah Must Be Pushed Beyond the Litani River
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Sunday that “the Lebanese Hezbollah group must be pushed beyond the Litani River, whether through a ceasefire agreement or without one,” emphasizing the need to prevent Hezbollah from rearming. During a visit to the Lebanese border, Netanyahu added, “Whether there is an agreement or not, safely returning our evacuated residents in the north requires moving Hezbollah beyond the Litani River, stopping all rearmament attempts, and responding forcefully to any action against us.”
The Israeli Prime Minister’s office confirmed that Netanyahu visited the Lebanese border as the Israeli military continued to target Hezbollah sites in southern Lebanon. This marks Netanyahu’s second visit to the border within a month, coinciding with Hezbollah launching rockets and drones at northern Israel. Earlier, Ynet reported sirens sounded in Haifa and northern Israel in response to missile and drone alerts.
