Israel Rejects Two-Day Ceasefire for Hostage Deal

In a closed meeting in Doha, Qatar’s Prime Minister, the CIA Director, and the head of Mossad convened tonight to renew negotiations for a potential hostage deal. The Egyptian-led proposal suggested a two-day ceasefire to release four hostages, with a continued pause for further negotiations over two weeks. Although many Israeli ministers and defense officials supported the proposal, Prime Minister Netanyahu opposed it, advocating for negotiations to occur only under ongoing military pressure.
