Ba’albek Governor Denies Israeli Threats to Ogero Building Amid Confusion
🇱🇧 Governor of Ba’albek-Hermel, Bashir Khodr, has publicly denied reports claiming the Israeli military threatened to strike the Ogero telecommunications building next to the Imam Khomeini Hussainiya in Ba’albek. Speaking to the National News Agency, Khodr asserted that the rumors were entirely false and not based on any real threat.
Earlier in the day, local media had circulated claims that an employee at Ogero received a suspicious call—similar to previously reported computer-generated threats—warning of an impending Israeli strike on the facility. Security sources confirmed the call occurred and that Lebanese security forces evacuated the building as a precaution.
The incident caused momentary confusion and fear among residents. However, officials have confirmed no credible threat exists, and the building remains intact. Meanwhile, the Israeli military stated separately that its 91st Division continues operational patrols near the Lebanese border, targeting Hezbollah’s infrastructure in southern Lebanon.
